The importance of teammate recognition: Tequila Poppers!
One of the traditions that MSP has enjoyed and found great success in since our inception is toasting each other and our game play on tournament Saturday with tequila poppers. Once all games have wrapped up we huddle up as a team, open a bottle of tequila, maybe add a splash of squirt, and remember the awesome plays from the day.
MSP strives to always find the balance between highly competitive ultimate frisbee and having the best time with our friends. After a long day battling other teams and the elements we have found that we achieve both these goals by recognizing what we did right (or almost right, but definitely wrong) throughout the day. Regardless of the tone or backhandedness of the toast, it is always an emphasis of why we play together, travel to tournaments together, and spend countless hours with our teammates all year long.
Next time you get sky’d by MSP or you make us look duper silly, trust that we will remember that moment with you.
